MeasureTime frame
Health Anxiety: Health anxiety is excessive and inappropriate anxiety and worry. People repeatedly check themselves (e.g., check their throat in the mirror), research the illness (e.g., on the Internet), and seek reassurance from family, friends, and doctors. In some cases, the anxiety leads to maladaptive avoidance of situations (e.g., seeing sick family members) or activities (e.g., exercising). Worries about the illness have a prominent place in the person's life, affecting daily activities and causing interference in the individual's life. Timepoint: Measuring this variable takes two months from the start of the study to its end. Method of measurement: Salkowskis and Warwick Health Anxiety Questionnaire (2002).;Death depression is defined as a feeling of hopelessness, fear, loneliness, and a kind of suffering and sadness related to one's own death or the death of others, and the feeling that thinking about death in general creates in a person. Timepoint: Measuring this variable takes two months from the start of the study to its end. Method of measurement: Templer et al.'s Bereavement Depression Questionnaire (1990).;Perception of aging is actually the mental perception and emotional reactions of older people to the physical, psychological, and social challenges associated with the aging process. Timepoint: Measuring this variable takes two months from the start of the study to its end. Method of measurement: Barker et al. (2007) questionnaire.;Quality of life, according to the definition of the World Health Organization, refers to people's perception of their position in life in terms of their culture, society's value system, goals, expectations, standards, and priorities. Timepoint: Measuring this variable takes two months from the start of the study to its end. Method of measurement: Diego et al. (1998) Quality of Life Questionnaire.
