30 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A definitive physician diagnosis of one of the following gastrointestinal cancers: Esophagus, Stomach, Small intestine, Large intestine (colon and rectum), Pancreas, Liver, or Bile ducts At least basic reading and writing literacy Not being enrolled in any other ongoing interventional research studies at this treatment center Informed consent to participate in this study Must not have communication deficits related to vision or hearing Must have at least four remaining cycles of chemotherapy At least three months must have elapsed since the initial cancer diagnosis Patients must be aware of their cancer diagnosis Patients must not be undergoing treatment with anti-anxiety or anti-depressant medications In the pre-intervention assessment, participants must score below 75% on the treatment adherence questionnaire and have anxiety and depression scores greater than 7 Age 30-70 years old

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Change in Treatment Status Withdrawal of Informed Consent Failure to attend a maximum of two educational sessions Emergence of Unforeseen Circumstances for patient Worsening of Disease or Death

The adherence to treatment score in the Chronic Diseases Treatment Adherence Questionnaire. Timepoint: immediately before the start of the intervention and one month after the final intervention session. Method of measurement: Chronic Diseases Treatment Adherence Questionnaire.;The anxiety score in the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). Timepoint: immediately before the start of the intervention and one month after the final intervention session.
