Interventions

Intervention 1: Control group: Receiving standard treatments and commercial hydrogel. Intervention 2: Intervention group: Receiving standard treatments and the hydrogel containing cocktail.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A wound on a limb (mostly the foot) of a known diabetic patient that has not decreased by 50% of its original size within one month Patients with diabetic foot ulcers were selected by the infectious disease specialist in grades 1 and 2 according to the Wagner classification

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Osteomyelitis Malignant arterial insufficiency Bone exposed to ulceration Wounds with Charcot deformity Medication with antiproliferative or hypertrophic drugs in the past 3 months Serum Hb less than 10 mg/dL Platelet count less than 103/µL and history ofGrowth factor therapy

Measure	Time frame
Wound area. Timepoint: Wound area assesment at the beginning of the study (before the intervention) 7, 14,21,28 days after the application of the hydrogel. Method of measurement: Graduated ruler.	—
