Intervention 1: Intervention group: Tranexamic acid, 500 mg (5 ml) in every 3 liters of irrigation fluid during surgery, with a maximum dose of 50 mg/kg. Intervention 2: Control group: 5 ml of distill

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals over 18 years old who are candidates for TURP based on clinical criteria

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with history of finasteride usage Patients who are known case of Prostate cancer Patients who had previous prostate surgery Patients with a history of thromboembolic incidents Patients with a history of Seizure Patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases Patients with Renal failure Patients with history of hypersensitivity to tranexamic acid

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Amount of blood loss during surgery. Timepoint: at the end of surgery. Method of measurement: Measurement of hemoglobin in the output irrigation fluid using the HEMOCUE method.;Serum hemoglobin. Timepoint: 4 & 24 hours after surgery. Method of measurement: Blood sample.;Packed cell transfusion rate. Timepoint: during hospitalization. Method of measurement: number.
