Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: At least 5 years of cohabitation have passed. Be literate in reading and writing Willingness to cooperate and participate fully in couples therapy sessions.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Having mental disorders and taking psychiatric medications Having physical problems that interfere with the intervention process

| Emotional empathy: Empathy is one of the most important social intelligence skills, and it is our bridge to others that every individual must acquire in order to be more effective in society and their communications. Empathy means feeling and understanding others. The concept of empathy is to be able to see and understand others in their own shoes (Reese, 2017). Timepoint: It takes two months before and after the study begins. Method of measurement: The Empathy Scale of Mehrabian and Epstein (1972) is used to assess the level of empathy of individuals. This scale has 33 questions.;Sexual Function: Sexual dysfunction is defined as a persistent or recurrent decrease in sexual desire, a persistent or recurrent decrease in sexual arousal, pain during intercourse, and difficulty or inability to achieve sexual climax. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association defines sexual dysfunction as a disturbance in sexual desire or cyclical psychophysiological changes in sexual response that cause personal distress. Timepoint: It takes two months before and after the study begins. Method of measurement: The Marital Sexual Function Scale of Farajnia et al. was designed in 2014 with the aim of measuring marital sexual function with 60 questions and 7 subscales.;The quality of marital relationships includes the conditions in which couples have desirable and appropriate relationships with each other in various psychological, emotional, sexual, and family aspects, which leads to marital harmony and couples' satisfaction with their married life. Timepoint: It takes two months before and after the study begins. Method of measurement: This questionnaire was developed by Busby et al.
