Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of mathematics learning disorder (MLD) by a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist according to DSM-5 criteria Age range between 7 to 10 years No current or recent psychiatric medication or psychological treatment No severe psychiatric disorder or comorbid diagnoses Signed informed consent from parents and child’s voluntary participation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No diagnosis of math learning disorder by a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist Age under 7 years or over 10 years History of medication or psychotherapy during diagnosis or the study period. Presence of severe psychiatric disorders or comorbidities No informed consent obtained from parents. Child is unwilling to voluntarily participate in the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome variables of this study are working memory and processing speed.Working memory will be assessed using relevant subtests from the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC).Processing speed will also be measured using the appropriate subtests from the same scale.These two variables serve as the main cognitive performance indicators in children with mathematics disorder, and will be evaluated before and after the intervention in both groups. Timepoint: The primary outcome variables will be measured at two time points:Before the start of the intervention (baseline assessment)After completion of the intervention sessions (post-test assessment). Method of measurement: To assess working memory, subtests related to Working Memory from the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children – Fifth Edition (WISC-V) will be used.To evaluate processing speed, the Coding and Symbol Search subtests from the WISC-V will be utilized.These tools are standardized, validated, and reliable for assessing cognitive performance in children.
