MeasureTime frame
The effect of endurance training and soy protein isolate supplementation on transferrin levels in patients with thalassemia minor "Percentage of people with thalassemia minor". Timepoint: Before starting training and taking supplements, week 3 and week 6. Method of measurement: Serum transferrin Serum transferrin was measured by immunoturbidimetric method using Cobas C311 and Roche kit. The required serum sample volume was 0.5 ml, which was separated from the previous sample. According to the manufacturer's protocol, each series of measurements was started using calibration standards and positive and negative controls. Each sample was read in duplicate and if the difference was more than 5%, the sample was re-examined.;The effect of endurance training and soy protein isolate supplementation on ferritin levels in patients with thalassemia minor " Percentage of people with thalassemia minor ". Timepoint: Before starting training and taking supplements, week 3 and week 6. Method of measurement: To measure serum ferritin, at each of the three time points before the intervention, at the end of the third week, and at the end of the sixth week, 5 ml of venous blood was collected from the brachial vein after 12 hours of fasting with a 22G syringe and needle by a laboratory expert. The sample was immediately transferred to the central laboratory and centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 10 minutes. The separated serum was transferred to sterile microtubes and stored in a -20°C freezer until measurement. Ferritin was measured by ELISA using a Roche kit and a Stat Fax 3200 device, based on IFCC standards. Calibration of the device before each series of tests, use of internal and external controls ( patients with borderline and normal ferritin levels ), repetition of the measurement of each suspicious sample, and recording all steps in the quality control office were among the requirements of the measurement.;The effect of endurance training and soy protein isolate supplementation on hem
