MeasureTime frame
Treatment adherence. Timepoint: Completion of the treatment adherence questionnaire before intervention, after intervention, and eight weeks after intervention. Method of measurement: The questionnaire for adherence to treatment in chronic diseases by Seyed Fatemi et al. (2018) which was designed and psychometrically tested for patients with chronic diseases will be used for assessment. The result of the concept analysis process in the theoretical stage led to the extraction of 11 categories, and in the fieldwork stage, 7 categories. In the third stage of concept analysis, 8 themes emerged by analyzing the data from the previous two stages and 127 items were extracted. The psychometric properties of the designed questionnaire began with 127 items. By performing face and content validity, the questionnaire items were modified and reduced to 48 items. The result of exploratory factor analysis identified 7 factors with 40 items. These 7 factors explained a total of 48.514% of the total variance of the questionnaire. The reliability of the test was confirmed by the test-retest method and through internal consistency and Cronbach's alpha of 0.92.
