Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Any patient diagnosed as AP in the emergency department will be re-evaluated according to the Atlanta criteria defined in 2012 to make a definitive diagnosis of AP. The mean age of patients at study entry is 18 to 75 years.

CRP. Timepoint: Standardized as T+48h, D3, D5 in research protocols. Method of measurement: On the mentioned days (48h post-medication, Day 3, and Day 5), blood samples are collected from patients to measure and analyze serum levels of the inflammatory biomarkers IL-6 (Interleukin-6) and CRP (C-reactive Protein.
