Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: New case or flare-up patients. Mild to moderate ulcerative colitis diagnosis with elevated fecal calprotectin.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: the use of any immunosuppressive or anti-inflammatory medications in the past two weeks hemoglobin less than 10 g/dl presence of leukopenia thrombocytopenia liver and kidney dysfunction Comorbid conditions include heart failure, chronic pancreatitis, diabetes mellitus, malignancies, active infections

MeasureTime frame
Assessment of fecal calprotectin. Timepoint: At baseline, one month, and two months after the initiation of solid dispersion curcumin pellet consumption. Method of measurement: Fecal calprotectin test.
