Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Elective surgery Age 18 to 55 years Absence of underlying diseases (immune system suppressing diseases, diabetes, lupus, etc.) No history of laparotomy surgery Body Mass Index (BMI) less than 35 Absence of local infection near the surgical site or systemic infection No allergy to povidone-iodine antiseptic No history of malignancy and radiotherapy Absence of severe skin rash at the surgical site No use of broad-spectrum antibiotics within one month prior to hospital admission Having at least a high school diploma
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: An occurrence of a disruption in the surgical process that leads to the contamination of surgical instruments or the surgical environment.
