Inclusion criteria: Individuals diagnosed with type 2 diabetes Age rating More than one year has passed the diabetes diagnosis Patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in Golestan hospital infirmary of Ahvaz Patients live in Ahvaz city Patients academic level is at least diploma
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Diagnosed with psychological disorders Active psychiatric medication Clients of psychotherapy services Women who are diagnosed with pregnancy diabetes people who are hard to document and collect information due to old age

| Emotional self-regulation refers to an individual's ability to manage, control, and adjust their emotions in various life situations. This skill includes being aware of one's feelings, regulating emotional reactions, and using effective strategies to reduce stress and anxiety. Emotional self-regulation helps a person make better decisions when facing challenges and prevents impulsive behaviors. Timepoint: Based on the research design (a quasi-experimental design with pre-test, post-test, and a control group), the measurement of the research variables will be conducted at two time points:Pre-test: Before the implementation of the Autogenic Training therapy, data related to emotional self-regulation will be collected from both the experimental and control groups.Post-test: Immediately after the completion of the Autogenic Training sessions (after fourteen 90-minute sessions), the research variables will be measured again to examine any potential changes. Method of measurement: In this study, emotional self-regulation is assessed using the Emotional Self-Regulation Questionnaire developed by Garnefski and Kraaij (2006). This tool is an 18-item questionnaire designed to measure cognitive emotion regulation strategies in response to stressful events.;Self-efficacy in diabetes management refers to an individual’s belief in their ability to perform and maintain the self-care behaviors necessary for controlling diabetes. These behaviors include regular medication intake, dietary regulation, physical activity, blood sugar monitoring, and regular visits to the doctor. Individuals with higher levels of self-efficacy typically show greater adherence to these self-care behaviors and, as a result, achieve better control over their condition.
