Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients between 18 and 65 years of age with indications for bariatric surgery according to the international guidelines BMI =30 kg/m2 and associated comorbidities BMI =40 kg/m2 with or without associated comorbidities who were candidates for sleeve surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who have clinical symptoms of reflux before surgery In endoscopy before surgery, they have related disorders such as medium to large hiatal hernia or esophagitis

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Gastroesophageal reflux disease. Timepoint: 6 and 12 months after the intervention. Method of measurement: All patients will be referred to the gastroenterology department six months and one year after surgery, and upper endoscopy will be performed under general anesthesia by a gastroenterologist. Finally, the findings obtained in the two groups will be compared with each other. Also, the GERD-Q questionnaire will be completed by phone for all patients in the next 6 months and 12 months.
