Intervention 1: Intervention group: Low molecular weight chitosan (75%<DD<85%,MW 107 kDa) and high molecular weight chitosan (75%<DD,MW 624 kDa) produced by Sigma-Aldrich, St. Louis, USA will be used

Inclusion criteria: Patients over 9 years old

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Active dental caries Periodontal diseases Systemic diseases Antibiotic use up to 3 months before study entry

MeasureTime frame
Number of Streptococcus mutans colonies. Timepoint: Checking the number of colonies at the beginning of the study and one month after using the mouthwash. Method of measurement: After culturing the bacterial samples and incubation process, the number of bacterial colonies was counted using a digital colony counter.
