Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Students must be registered in the operating room department at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences for the second semester of the 1403-1404 academic year. Students must provide informed consent to participate in the study. Students must have a smart mobile device. Students must have completed a course unit related to the content being taught.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Students should have no previous experience using the Touch Surgery simulation program.

Academic motivation. Timepoint: Before and after the intervention. Method of measurement: In this study, academic motivation means scores obtained from the AMS Wallerand (1992) Academic Motivation Questionnaire.;Cognitive load. Timepoint: After the intervention. Method of measurement: To assess cognitive load, the cognitive load self-report instrument designed by Paas (1994) is used.
