Conditions

Cerebral edema in traumatic brain injury.

Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group receive melatonin tablet 5 or 10 mg daily in addition to usual treatments for cerebral edema. Intervention 2: Control group: usual treatments of cerebral edema.

MeasureTime frame
Brain parenchymal density. Timepoint: First day after trauma- 3rd to 5th days after trauma- 7th to 10th days after trauma. Method of measurement: Brain parenchymal density on CT scan.
