| Anxiety and Pain. Timepoint: Two indicators, Venham's picture test (VPT) and heart rate (HR), are used to assess children's anxiety. HR is measured at six different time points as follows: the first time (baseline) at the first examination session, before each intervention or treatment, and when the child is with the parents. The second measurement is recorded immediately after the child sits in the dental chair (parents are not in the room). The third measurement is taken at the time of anesthesia injection, and the fourth and fifth measurements are taken during cavity preparation using high-speed and low-speed handpieces. After the treatment is completed, the dental chair is returned to the vertical (default) position and the sixth HR measurement is taken. Dental anxiety is assessed using the VPT as a subjective assessment. VPT is a self-reported test. It is measured at 3 stages: the examination session (as baseline), before treatment, and after treatment. Two scales, W-BFRS and FLACC, are used to assess the child's pain: The W-BFRS method is a method for the child to express pain by himself, which shows different facial expressions. The child is asked to show his emotions in one of the pictures before each treatment. At the end of the treatment session, the test is repeated. The FLACC test is initially checked before treatment and at the end of the treatment session after treatment. Method of measurement: The Venham's picture test (VPT) and heart rate (HR) are used to assess children's anxiety.Heart rate (HR) is a simple and reliable physiological measure to measure changes in children's fear and anxiety. For this purpose, an index finger pulse oximeter is used. HR is measured at six different time points as follows: the first time (baseline) at the first examination session, before each intervention or treatment, and when the child is with the parents. The second measurement is recorded immediately after the child sits in the dental chair (parents are not in the | — |
