Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Children aged 6 to 12 years Severe and very severe gag reflex according to CGP index The level of determined gag reflex interferes with taking a posterior maxillary radiograph of E and D teeth Patients with cooperation level of 3 and 4 based on Frankl behavior rating scale Patients require bilateral maxillary radiographs of the mentioned areas
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Children with urgent medical treatment needs Individuals who have undergone medical interventions that can permanently change the body’s anatomy (such as surgery) Individuals using systemic medications that may reduce the gag reflex Individuals with any type of central or peripheral nervous system disorder or systemic conditions Individuals with oral lesions that may cause a reduction/increase in the sensation of nausea (e.g., submucosal fibrosis, tumors)

| Decreasing the intensity of the gag reflex to a point where radiographs can be easily taken of the child. Timepoint: The effect of the intervention is assessed immediately after laser exposure during the radiographic procedure. Method of measurement: The measurement scale for gagging severity is the Classification of Gagging Problem Index (CGP), and the goal is to reduce the intensity of the gag reflex to a level that allows easy radiographic imaging of the child. | — |
