Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age 18 years and older No sensitivity to essential oils No diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease No olfactory inhibition No loss of sense of smell Having a healthy, well-functioning arteriovenous fistula access Aware patients Hemodialysis patients who require at least two hemodialysis sessions per week No eczema and no sensitivity to fragrances and perfumes At least six weeks have passed since the fistula was inserted No hearing impairment Willingness to cooperate and participate in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Active bleeding Ineffective fistula and deep vein thrombosis Use of analgesics within three hours before hemodialysis Pregnant women with a history of asthma Addiction and smoking Migraine and chronic headaches Psychological diseases known from patient records Failed venipuncture attempt Use of hot water bottle Unwillingness to continue participating in the study
