Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Transient ischemic attack or acute ischemic stroke within the past 24 hours.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with heart failure Use of medications affecting the metabolism of pioglitazone or the presence of active liver or kidney disease Pregnancy Patients who underwent thrombectomy Obesity Peripheral edema Bone fracture
