Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Definitive diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori infection based on endoscopy and gastric biopsy results along with Giemsa staining Children and adolescents between the ages of 5 and 18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Abnormal or very low/very high serum vitamin D levels at baseline Taking vitamin D supplements or medications containing it within the past three months

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Success in eradicating H. pylori infection. Timepoint: 4 weeks after stopping treatment. Method of measurement: Fecal antigen test.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Serum vitamin D level. Timepoint: After 4 weeks of complete cessation of treatment (simultaneous with eradication testing). Method of measurement: Blood sampling and measurement of serum vitamin D levels.
