Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elective open carpal tunnel release surgeries patient's ability to attend subsequent visits age range 20-60 years ASA (American Society of Anesthesiology) class I and II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous history of palmar surgery hand diseases (Dupuytren's, rheumatoid arthritis) vascular disorders systemic diseases (diabetes, rheumatic diseases, malignancies, kidney failure) sensitivity to local anesthetics contraindications to general anesthesia Acute or traumatic carpal tunnel syndrome inability to visit drug abuse use of neuropsychiatric drugs
