Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Having major depressive disorder according to diagnostic criteria (DSM-V) with suicidal thoughts Patients over 18 years of age of both sexes Consent to participate in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with bipolar disorder Co-existing psychiatric illness other than major depressive disorder History of substance use in the last 3 months History of significant side effects related to anesthetic drugs History of cardiovascular disease Patients with body implants such as pacemakers, intracranial electrodes, etc Pregnant women Presence of contraindications to ECT such as brain space-occupying lesions, high ICP, and recent myocardial infarction Unwillingness to participate in the study History of high blood pressure, cardiac conduction disorders, and tachycardia
