Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals age should be within the range of 15 to 25 years Uncorrected visual acuity should be 20/20 or superior The spherical equivalent refraction should be within the range of +0.50 to -0.50 diopters and with astigmatism not exceeding one diopter Sign informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with ocular diseases or systemic diseases that could impair vision. Individuals with any prior history of ocular surgery Individuals that used contact lenses or spectacles during one month preceding the study Individuals that have education level lower than high school.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Spherical equivalent refractive changes after near work. Timepoint: Immediately before and after near work. Method of measurement: Spherical equivalent refraction will be measured using autorefractometer.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Changes of ocular biometry including Axial length, anterior chamber depth, crystalline lens thickness and vitreous chamber depth. Timepoint: immediately before and after near work. Method of measurement: Biometric indices of the eye will be measured using Lenstar device.
