Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The change in bone boundaries on the radiographic image was assessed by identifying a series of landmarks on the patients image before and after treatment and then comparing the differences obtained. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study and after 5 months. Method of measurement: Evaluation of new bone formation in term of millimeters in CBCT section. In this approach, we mark a series of point on the patients radiographics before and after treatment, and then compere the difference obtained.;Histomorphometric evaluation of woven and mature bone. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study and after 5 months. Method of measurement: To assess the composition of the newly formed tissue, histomorphometric analysis was performed on decalcified histological sections stained with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E). The parameters of interest included the percentage of immature bone, mature bone, and fibrous connective tissue within the selected regions of interest.
