Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Chronic periodontitis stage 2 and grade C Presence of at least 2 non-adjacent teeth with pocket depth greater than or equal to 5 mm in each quadrant Presence of bleeding on probing (BOP) in pockets greater than or equal to 5 mm Clinical attachment loss (CAL) greater than 3 mm in 2 non-adjacent teeth in each quadrant Smoking at least 10 cigarettes a day

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy and breastfeeding Having a systemic disease Alcohol consumption Periodontal treatment in the past 6 months History of antibiotic and NSAIDs use in the past 3 months Vitamin C and mouthwash users in the past 3 months People with fixed orthodontic appliances

Interleukin 6. Timepoint: measurement of Interleukin 6 at the beginning of the study (before the start of the intervention) and 7 days after taking the medicine. Method of measurement: ELISA test.
