Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children from 1 month to 14 years Children with first UTI in life Children with UTI have positive urine culture Children with clinical symptoms related to acute pyelonephritis (APN)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Endocrine diseases Immune deficiency diseases Cancer Known uropathy (ie known VUR, CAKUT and UTD) Patients with a second UTI during the study period Patients without evidence of acute pyelonephritis (APN)

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Urinary IL6 and IL8 evaluate by ELISA. Timepoint: Before and after 4 months of treatment. Method of measurement: laboratory.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Renal scaring. Timepoint: before and 4 month after treatment. Method of measurement: isotope scan.
