Conditions

Peripheral vein thrombophlebitis. Phlebitis and thrombophlebitis of other sites

Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group: The thrombophlebitis site will be washed with normal saline, and then 5% myrtle ointment will be applied to the area and covered with a sterile gauze dressing twice

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients admitted to the intensive care unit

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of allergy to medicinal plants or topical products Diabetes Autoimmune diseases Chronic skin diseases Chemotherapy or radiotherapy Grade four local edema

Measure	Time frame
Visual Venous Score. Timepoint: Measurements are performed using the Visual Venous Score Checklist before the start of the intervention and 24 hours after the last intervention on the fourth day. Method of measurement: Visual Venous Score Checklist.	—
