Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with multiple trauma requiring respiratory support with mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit. Age group between 16 and 70 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient death within 24 hours after ICU admission History of pulmonary diseases Hemodynamic instability Lung contusion Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) / COPD

MeasureTime frame
Changes in blood hemodynamic parameters, including blood pressure and heart rate, in multiple trauma patients mechanically ventilated with SIMV and PRVC methods during the first 24 hours of admission to the intensive care unit. Timepoint: Blood pressure, heart rate, pneumothorax injury and pneumomediastinal injury were checked during the first 24 hours of hospitalization as long as they were connected to mechanical ventilation. For arterial blood gas, we recorded information including (PH, PaCo2, PaO2, HCO3, SPO2) every 12 hours and for hemodynamic parameters, blood pressure, heart rate) every 8 hours. Method of measurement: 1. Blood pressure: It is measured using a mercury sphygmomanometer.2 Heart rate: Monitored with a standard ECG machine.3. Pneumothorax and pneumomediastinum injury: diagnosis and monitoring through chest X-ray and CT scan.4. Arterial blood gas (PH, PaCO2, PaO2, HCO3, SPO2): measurement using a blood gas analyzer.
