Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Gingivitis intensity score according to MGI index. Timepoint: Before the intervention, after 14 and 28 days after using mouthwashes. Method of measurement: The modified gingival index (25) is an index of gingivitis that is graded as follows: 0 = healthy gums, 1 = slight changes in color and texture, but not in all marginal or papillary parts of the gums, 2 = minor changes in color and texture in all marginal or papillary parts of the gingiva, 3 = inflammation, erythema, edema, or marginal or papillary gingival hypertrophy, 4 = erythema, edema, or marginal gingival hypertrophy or spontaneous bleeding, papillary, Tissue congestion or ulceration.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The percentage of stained surfaces of the teeth with the plaque detector tablet compared to the total surface of the teeth. Timepoint: Before the intervention, after 14 and 28 days after using mouthwashes. Method of measurement: According to the O'Leary plaque index, the plaque index is measured by giving the disclosing tablets to the patients, touching all the buccal and lingual surfaces with the tongue for 30 seconds inside the mouth, then All colored areas are recorded in the index plate chart. The way to record PI is by dividing the number of colored areas by the total number of areas and the percentage will be reported.;Percentage of gingival bleeding after periodontal probe stimulation. Timepoint: Before the intervention, after 14 and 28 days after using mouthwashes. Method of measurement: The Bleeding Index is measured by gently probing the gingival sulcus. If bleeding occurs after 30 to 60 seconds, it is recorded and reported as a positive finding and is determined as a percentage of the number of sites examined by dividing by the number of teeth.
