Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Couples who have been diagnosed with marital conflict based on standard questionnaires or specialized interviews. Couples who have a significant level of marital burnout, so that it is recognized as one of the main challenges of their relationship in the research criteria. Couples who have a low level of marital mindfulness and need to strengthen this skill. Couples who face psychological problems such as anxiety, depression, or stress as a result of marital conflicts. Couples who voluntarily and with full consent are willing to participate in emotional counseling and intervention sessions. Couples who are able to attend counseling sessions in terms of time and place. Couples must be between 18 and 50 years old. Couples who are married permanently.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Couples where one or both of them have severe mental disorders such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Couples who lose the desire to continue the meetings during the research and repeatedly refuse to attend the meetings. Couples where one or both of them are actively involved in drug or alcohol use and this issue negatively affects the treatment process. Couples experiencing severe domestic violence for whom emotion-focused couple intervention may not be effective or safe. Absence in more than two treatment sessions without a valid reason.
