Investigating the effect of Alloderm membrane thickness in increasing gum thickness

Evaluation of the effect of using different thicknesses of Alloderm, at the same time as dental implant placement, on the vertical and horizontal thickness of the soft tissue around the implant, in the patients who refer to the periodontology department of Rasht Faculty of Dentistry.: A randomized controlled clinical trial

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The horizontal and vertical thickness of the soft tissue around the implant is equal to or less than 2 mm. Timepoint: Soft tissue thickness measurement before the first surgery./3 months (in the second surgery). Method of measurement: On the day of surgery, local anesthesia will be injected first. The entire surgical procedure will be performed by a surgeon. An incision is made with scalpel number 15c in the center of the edentulous ridge in such a way that at least 2 mm of keratinized tissue remains on the buccal side. Then, the buccal flap is moved aside in full-thickness mode, and the periodontal probe (on which a rubber tape is placed to increase the accuracy of tissue thickness reading) is placed vertically on the ridge and the vertical thickness of the soft tissue is measured. Such a probe is inserted into the tissue horizontally from the buccal side and the horizontal thickness of the tissue is read at the place indicated by the rubber stop.
