Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients' willingness and informed consent to participate in the research Having anxiety based on the Spielberger Anxiety Inventory Being hospitalized the day before surgery The patient's type of surgery is discectomy (checked by viewing the surgical record)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The presence of a known mental illness through questioning the patient Taking anti-anxiety medications, opioids, or strong painkillers Forbidden to have repeated muscle contractions and expansions Having severe pain due to the nature of other illnesses (such as cancer) Having other surgeries at the same time as discectomy surgery Previous experience with discectomy surgery
