Chronic periodontitis stage 2 and grade C. Chronic periodontitis

Interventions

Intervention 1: The intervention group consumes vitamin C chewable tablets from Eurovital company with a daily dose of 1500 mg for 7 days (500 mg every 8 hours). Intervention 2: ontrol group: Placebo

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Stage II and Grade C periodontitis The presence of at least 2 non-adjacent teeth with pocket depth greater than or equal to 5 mm in each quadrant Presence of probing bleeding (BOP) in pockets greater than or equal to 5 mm Loss of attachment (CAL) greater than 3 mm in two non-adjacent teeth in each quadrant Smokers with at least 10 cigarettes per day

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy and breastfeeding systemic disease periodontal treatment in the last 6 months Consumption of alcoholic beverages History of taking antibiotics and NSAIDs in the last 3 months Vitamin C and mouthwash users in the last 3 months fixed orthodontic appliances

MeasureTime frame
TGF-ß. Timepoint: Measurement of transforming factor beta at the beginning of the study (before the start of the intervention) and 7 days after the start of taking the drug. Method of measurement: ELAISA.
