The Mini-mental state examination is a 30-point questionnaire that is widely used in clinical and research environments. Used to measure cognitive impairment Commonly used in medicine and allied health to screen for dementia. Also, it is used to estimate the severity and progress of cognitive impairment and follow the process of cognitive changes in a person over time. thus making it an effective way to document a person's response to treatment. The test takes between 5 and 10 minutes to administer and assesses functions including attention calling and calculation, recall, language, ability to follow simple commands, and alertness and awareness. he does. An increase in the obtained scores means an improvement in the cognitive condition of the patient. It is the most appropriate tool for assessing functional status as a measure of the ability to perform independent daily living activities. It rates functional adequacy in the six functions of bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, continence, and feeding. In each of the six functions, a yes/no score is given for independence. A score of 6 indicates full performance, 4 indicates moderate impairment, and 2 or less indicates severe functional impairment. Increasing the obtained scores means improving the patients' functional conditions. Timepoint: before the start of the intervention in each of the intervention and control groups, then three months after the end of the intervention in the intervention group. Method of measurement: The amount of change in cognitive and functional status measured by Mini-mental state examination and KATZ questionnaires respectively. | — |
