Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Willingness to participate in the study not being pregnant Diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome by a gastroenterology subspecialist. No history of any major bowel surgery. No history of epilepsy, diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney stones and gallstones, hepatitis, heart disease, or high cholesterol. Avoid the use of corticosteroids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. No known sensitivity to ginger and Shirazi thyme.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Unwillingness to participate in the study Sensitivity to ginger or Shirazi thyme medication to be pregnant Having a history of major bowel surgery

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Patients with irritable bowel syndrome. Timepoint: Patients in group X are given one gram of ginger daily for 4 weeks, patients in group Y are given 20 milligrams of thyme twice a day for 4 weeks, and the control group is given a placebo for 4 weeks. Method of measurement: Completion of the gastrointestinal symptom grading criteri.
