Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants should be in the age range of 18 to 30 They should be Iranian They should not have any known chronic diseases They should not have taken any medication for three months prior to the intervention. They should not have symptoms such as burning, itching, or abnormal vaginal and cervical secretions They should have regular cycles of 22 to 35 days Body mass index (BMI) should be between 18.5 to 26 They should have experienced primary dysmenorrhea in the past 6 months based on the visual analog scale They should be students residing in Al-Zahra Girls' Dormitory of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran. The duration of bleeding should be between 3 to 7 days There should be no bleeding between menstruation There should be no occurrence of stressful events such as the death of relatives or surgery in the last 6 months They should not smoke or consume alcohol
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Participants consuming any herbal medications during the study. Participants expressing unwillingness to continue treatment Onset of kidney or liver disease or any condition requiring discontinuation of treatment according to the physician's opinion during the study Improper use of chamomile extract capsules or mefenamic acid, or consumption of less than 7 capsules in the first three days of menstruation Take any non-sterodiol non-inflammatory drug other than mefenamic acid more than 3 times a day
