Intervention 1: Intervention group: Vitamin D oral supplement 3000 units per week. Intervention 2: Intervention group: Vitamin D oral supplement 2000 units per week.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy children aged 2-12 years referred to Kashan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services endocrinology clinic or private office who didn't use vitamin d supplements or products fortified by vitamin d through last 6 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children aged 2-12 years referred to KAUMS endocrinology clinic or private office who are not generally healthy. Children with excess level of vitamin d. (serum level of 25hydroxy vitamin D more than 64 ng/ml) People who are using products containing vitamin D or calcium, anticonvulsant drugs, estrogen and diuretic drugs. Also people who use vitamin d supplements or products fortified by vitamin d through last 6 months. Unwillingness to participate in this study.

MeasureTime frame
Vitamin D serum level. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study and after the intervention (3 months later). Method of measurement: Measurement of serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D level.
