Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged 9-12 years Need for inferior alveolar nerve block injection on both right and left sides Presenting to Mashhad Dental School for dental caries treatment Informed consent from parents or legal guardians

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of any systemic disease Mental disability Physical disability Lack of parental or legal guardian consent Known allergies to rosewater or local anesthetics

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Pain during injection (primary outcome)outcome). Timepoint: Pain: Immediately after injection. Method of measurement: Pain: Wong-Baker FACES Pain.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Heart rate changes (secondary outcome). Timepoint: Heart rate: 5 minutes before, during cotton roll application, during injection, and 5 minutes post-injection. Method of measurement: Heart rate: Pulse oximeter.
