Intervention 1: Intervention group 1: fentanyl (fentanyl which has been added to bupivacaine). Patients in the this group will receive 12-15 mg of Bupivacaine plus 25 micrograms of Fentanyl. Intervent

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients who are candidates for inguinal hernia repair surgery with ASA grade I-II Age between 18-70 years old

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: BMI>35 kg/m2 Dependence and consumption of opioids Local infection at the injection site Back pain Blood coagulation disease Allergy to opioids and local anesthetics Need for general anesthesia Patient's lack of consent to participate in the study

Measure	Time frame
Pain score in VAS questionnaire. Timepoint: Pain intensity will be assessed at beginning of surgery , 2, 4, 6 and 12 hours after the surgery by VAS. Method of measurement: Visual analogue scale questionnaire.	—
