Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients over 50 years of age with open-angle glaucoma who simultaneously have cataracts

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: An abnormal cornea that prevents tonometry Concomitant retinal disease such as diabetic retinopathy and AMD History of intraocular surgery in the studied eye

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Intraocular pressure (IOP) is the main outcome of the study. Comparison of IOP reduction in patients in two surgical groups is done in order to determine the more effective surgical method in IOP control. Timepoint: Patients will be examined on the first day, first week and third, sixth, ninth and twelfth months after surgery. Method of measurement: Goldman tonometer.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA). Timepoint: Patients will be examined on the first day, first week and third, sixth, ninth and twelfth months after surgery. Method of measurement: Ask the patient.;The need for re-surgery and surgical complications including hypotony, uveitis, and suprachoroidal hemorrhage. Timepoint: Patients will be examined on the first day, first week and third, sixth, ninth and twelfth months after surgery. Method of measurement: Observation of complications during surgery and examination.
