Interventions

Intervention group: Patients with nail bed injury who undergo nail bed repair surgery will have 1 cc of mesenchymal stem cells extracted from the placenta injected into their nail bed after the surger

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Able to provide informed consent and follow the study method Patients with hand trauma referred to emergency department of Imam Khomeini Hospital In the initial examination, there is a suspicious or definite injury in the nail bed

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who do not agree to participate in the plan. Patients with amputation proximal to the distal ligament of the finger Patients who do not return for follow-up and subsequent visits. Patients without damage to the nail bed Patients who did not consent to surgery.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Number of nail shape in zook criteria. Timepoint: 7 days, 1 month, and 4 months after mesenchymal stem cell injection. Method of measurement: Clinical examination.;Pain level score on the Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale. Timepoint: Day 7 after stem cell injection. Method of measurement: Facial changes on day 7 dressing change on Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale.
