Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children with a body mass index (BMI) above the 85th percentile. Absence of specific disease. Not using a specific drug. Absence of psycho-behavioral disorder or disease. Absence of hormonal problems or diseases related to overweight or obesity (according to doctor's diagnosis). Absence of movement restrictions Consent of parents.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Missing more than one session of training classes.

Empowering overweight and obese Iranian children with culturally sensitive tools to manage emotions and eating behaviors, bridging the gap between research and practice, informing evidence-based interventions for overweight and obese children in Iran and beyond.
