Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The subject may have received a diagnosis of Self-Discrepancies from a psychologist. The subject has been diagnosed by a psychologist as having depression disorder caused by the imbalance of possible selves. The subject has been diagnosed by a psychologist as having an anxiety disorder caused by the imbalance of possible selves

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The individual should not be involved in any other psychotherapeutic treatment alongside this intervention.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The score of Balance possible selves from the questionnaire, which consists of 36 items in 3 domains: goals, tasks, and concerns. Timepoint: Measuring the possible selves alignment score of individuals before the intervention and after the completion of four intervention sessions. Method of measurement: The Balance of Possible Selves Questionnaire (Zadeshir, Saber, & Abolmaali Hosseini, 2020) which consists of 36 items in 3 domains: goals, tasks, and concerns.

The scores of stress, anxiety, and depression from the DASS-21 questionnaire, which is a 21-item scale. Timepoint: Measuring the stress, anxiety, and depression scores of individuals before the intervention and after the completion of the intervention. Method of measurement: DASS-21 questionnaire.
