Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients from both genders greater than 18 years of age Patients on twice weekly hemodialysis for at least 6 months Patients having uremic pruritus for more than 6 weeks

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with dermatological or systemic diseases associated with pruritis (such as acute hepatitis, chronic liver disease, pregnancy, and hypothyroidism) Patients with mental health issues affecting their ability to respond to the 5-D Itch Scale (such as psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or substance abuse) Patients on thrice-a-week haemodialysis schedule Not consenting to participate

MeasureTime frame
Change in severity of pruritis. Timepoint: 6 weeks post initiation of treatment. Method of measurement: The 5-D Itch Scale (Urdu version).
