| Ovulation induction. Timepoint: Days 21-23 of the menstrual cycle. Method of measurement: The size of the largest follicle during transvaginal ultrasound is determined by taking the average of the two internal diameters of the follicle measured in two perpendicular planes. HCG injection of 5000 IU is given to women with a follicular size =18 mm, and timely intercourse is recommended every other day from the day of HCG administration. Patients are advised to have serum progesterone measured on days 21-23 of the cycle. Typically, serum progesterone concentrations on days 21-23 of 3 are indicative of normal ovulation. | — |
