Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The height of the remaining bone between the alveolar crest and the sinus floor is 5 mm or less the presence of bilateral partial or complete edentulism behind the maxilla Sufficient buccolingual width of about 7 mm patients without systemic disorders and good oral hygiene and plaque index above 25% Availability of apical bone tissue greater than and equal to 5 mm for primary stability
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: smokers patients with parafunctional habits pregnant women patients with uncontrolled systemic disease Any pathological condition involving the sinuses (cystic lesion, acute and chronic inflammatory disease) Medical conditions known to affect bone metabolism such as osteoporosis Drug regime that is effective in the normal process of wound healing, such as bisphosphonate and continuous use of corticosteroids Any mental problem that reduces the patient's cooperation History of chemotherapy or head and neck radiotherapy at the same time as surgery or in the next six months Accidental occurrence of sinus membrane perforation during surgery
