Conditions

Condition 1: Serum Magnesium. Condition 2: Red Blood Cell Magnesium. Condition 3: Urine Magnesium. Abnormal level of blood mineral Abnormal level of blood mineral Abnormal level of blood mineral

Interventions

Intervention group: 7.5 grams of magnesium sulfate in 1000 cc of isotonic saline during 8 hours and at a rate of 125 cc per hour as intravenous injection.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: At least 72 hours of placement in ICU The patient's lack of hypermagnesium Not receiving magnesium supplement at least in the past 72 hours Absence of pregnancy and breastfeeding

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The presence of kidney dysfunction (serum creatinine above 1.5 mg per dL) Heart rate less than 60 per minute Severe metabolic disorder The patient is treated with diuretic drugs Coagulopathy

Method of measurement: By using the method MLT.
