Intervention 1: Intervention group: 40 patients on mechanical ventilation plus oxygen via nasal cannula. Intervention 2: Control group: 40 patients under mechanical ventilation.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The patient is under mechanical ventilation Have stable vital signs

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Mechanical ventilation lasts more than ten days

Need for sedation. Timepoint: The first day after intubation and the end of the third day of intubation. Method of measurement: Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale (RASS).;Patient's level of consciousness. Timepoint: The first day after intubation and the end of the third day of intubation. Method of measurement: Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS).;Mortality. Timepoint: The first day after intubation and the end of the third day of intubation. Method of measurement: Observe the loss of vital signs.;Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). Timepoint: The first day after intubation and the end of the third day of intubation. Method of measurement: Positive respiratory culture for pulmonary infection.
