Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Presence of a repaired cleft palate and/or a residual or postoperative palatal fistula following cleft-palate repair surgery. Age between 48 and 144 months. Typical receptive and expressive language development, based on informal assessment by a speech-language pathologist (SLP). Absence of any cognitive impairment, genetic syndrome, or neurological disorder associated with cleft palate, as determined through informal SLP assessments and review of the child’s cleft-care team records. Persian as the dominant language. Presence of at least one compensatory articulation error, identified through perceptual assessment by an SLP. Normal hearing, confirmed by audiometric and tympanometric evaluations. Ability to participate in remote therapy sessions via Google Meet. Not receiving concurrent speech-therapy services at other centers or clinics.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Persistent Baseline Instability: Significant trends (ascending or descending) or extreme variability in baseline data that persist despite the extension of the baseline phase, rendering a valid interpretation of the intervention effect impossible. The child’s unwillingness or inability to cooperate during sessions. Lack of Parental Cooperation: Failure of the caregiver to comply with study requirements or facilitate participation. Suboptimal Quality of Speech Recordings: Technical issues, such as excessive ambient noise, audio dropouts, or inadequate intelligibility, that impede reliable perceptual or acoustic analysis.
